Mr Terry aims to provide further information about the mentoring process along with offering helpful information to support you as a Medical Professional.

Why do Surgeons and Surgical Trainees need mentoring?

Working in surgery is demanding on your emotional, mental and physical health and at times can become overwhelming, impacting on your personal life and professional career. This can result in:

  • Burnout issues

  • Feeling overwhelmed

  • Loss of confidence

  • Loss of clear direction

  • Anxiety, Depression and PTSD

  • Addictive behaviour

Working with a Mentor can provide you with ongoing support and skills to help you cope effectively with the pressures of your professional career and creating a better work life balance.
